Junior Digital Media Specialist - Boston, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Junior Digital Media Specialist with a highly successful investment management firm located in Boston, MA. This position will support the execution and delivery of paid media campaigns across digital advertising, paid social, and search. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in digital advertising and paid media while developing hands‑on experience across display, native, pre‑roll, social, and search campaigns.

This is a 12+ month contract position that will pay $30-38/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position supports a hybrid work model, onsite 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day setup, implementation, and trafficking of paid media campaigns, with a primary focus on US Retail initiatives.

  • Build and maintain campaign trafficking documents, ensuring creative assets, copy, URLs, UTMs, tracking requirements, launch dates, and deadlines are accurate and complete.

  • Help manage campaign timelines, including material due dates, closing dates, creative specifications, tracking tags, and launch requirements.

  • Provide hands‑on support for paid search campaigns, including keyword management, ad updates, campaign monitoring, and reporting under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Conduct routine campaign checks, gather performance data, and make updates to ensure search activity remains accurate and current.

  • Partner with internal creative, editorial, production, publishing, video, social media, and analytics teams to gather and prepare campaign materials for launch.

  • Coordinate recurring meetings, agendas, follow‑up notes, and action items to ensure stakeholders remain aligned on deliverables and timelines.

  • Communicate with internal teams, agencies, and publishers regarding routine campaign details and elevate more complex issues when appropriate.

  • Assist with the creation and implementation of UTM tags and tracking codes in partnership with the Analytics team.

  • Help validate tracking functionality and ensure campaign assets and requirements are implemented correctly.

  • Review creative assets, technical specifications, platform requirements, approvals, and multiple versions of ad units to ensure accuracy and consistency prior to launch.

  • Follow established compliance procedures and maintain accurate project information in Workfront.

  • Identify potential issues early and elevate concerns or recommend process improvements when appropriate.

  • Monitor campaign delivery and assist with compiling basic performance reports.

  • Support ongoing campaign optimization by gathering data and contributing ideas for improvement.

  • Promptly elevate delivery, tracking, or quality assurance issues to senior team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, media, or a related field, including internships.

  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills, with the ability to review multiple versions of advertising materials for accuracy.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Comfortable working with numbers, campaign data, advertising analytics, and marketing technology.

  • Strong interest in developing a career in digital advertising and paid media.

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across creative, technical, analytics, legal, and business teams.

  • Positive, proactive, and solutions‑oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, investigate discrepancies, and elevate concerns appropriately.

  • Understanding of the fast‑paced nature and urgency of advertising and campaign deadlines.
