Role Overview

As a Dealer Marketing Intern on the Car Gurus Marketing team, you will join an 11-week Summer Internship Program designed to give you hands-on experience, expand your professional network, and build core industry skills. This full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) runs from June through August 2027. Car Gurus operates on a hybrid working model, and candidates should expect to work out of our Boston, MA office 60% of the time (approximately three days per week).

Within the Dealer Marketing team, this internship will support initiatives aimed at strengthening our position as a top partner for our Dealer customers. This role will support dealer campaigns across markets - from planning through launch, measurement, and optimization - to drive revenue, expand the adoption of our new products and help us expand our positioning.

We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This is an ideal role for someone looking for a career in performance, product marketing or insights. A successful candidate will show strong problem solving, quantitative interest, excellent communications and collaboration, and appetite to learn and have fun! No automotive experience necessary.

What you’ll do
  • Campaign Management:
    Support dealer acquisition campaigns to grow revenue, including launching and improving emails, ads and landing pages utilizing marketing automation tools and data analytics to optimize campaign performance.

  • Testing and Measurement:
    Analyze marketing data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, including A/B testing, reporting, and communicating the results.

  • Targeting & Messaging:
    Support audience segmentation and tailor messaging for ads and collateral based on product benefits, demographics, performance and behavior data.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate with other teams, such as Sales, Product Marketing, and Business Operations to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.

  • Market Research:
    Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to inform demand generation and customer retention strategies.

What you’ll bring
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or social science field (e.g., math, statistics, economics, marketing) or a related field, with eligibility to complete a full-time internship. Internships or projects in marketing, analytics, finance, or consulting a plus.

  • Self‑motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking skills to drive impact and a high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Analytical, and interested in using data to inform decisions and improve results. Experience and/or interest in using AI agents to improve.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong collaboration skills.

The displayed range represents the expected hourly rate for this position.
