As a Consumer Marketing Intern on the Car Gurus Marketing team, you will join an 11-week Summer Internship Program designed to give you hands‑on experience, expand your professional network, and build core industry skills. This full‑time opportunity (40 hours per week) runs from June through August 2027. Car Gurus operates on a hybrid working model, and candidates should expect to work out of our Boston, MA office 60% of the time (approximately three days per week).
Within the Consumer Marketing team, this internship will support initiatives aimed at strengthening our position as a top online car shopping website. This role is centered on our efforts and campaigns that drive high‑intent traffic to the site and app to ultimately submit qualified leads.
We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This is an ideal role for someone looking to launch a career in digital marketing or applied analytics. A successful candidate will show strong problem solving, quantitative interest, excellent communications and collaboration, and appetite to learn and have fun! No automotive experience necessary.
What you’ll do- Conduct performance analysis of consumer marketing campaigns across markets on channels including Google (Search, You Tube), Meta, Email and Push, and others.
- Support campaign and initiative execution, including digital campaign creation and optimizations, audience definition, messaging and creative assessment.
- Synthesize learnings from analysis in research into recommendations for leadership to inform optimizations and new initiatives.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or social science field (e.g., math, statistics, economics, marketing) or a related field, with eligibility to complete a full‑time internship. Previous internship or projects in digital marketing, analytics, finance, or consulting a plus.
- Familiarity with—or eagerness to learn—ad technology platforms (Google Ads, CM360, DV360, Meta); proficiency in spreadsheets and slides, with exposure to AI tools; SQL or BI tools (Looker, Tableau) a plus.
- Data-oriented thinker with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to convert analysis and research into clear recommendations and action plans.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented, self‑motivated, collaborative, and equipped with strong written and verbal communication skills.
The displayed range represents the expected hourly rate for this position.
