Position Title: Senior Advancement Officer
Reports to: Advancement Director (AD)
DetailsSenior Advancement Officer reports to the Advancement Director and manages Prospect Identification and eventual solicitation for constituents with the capacity to give $10k and above annually. This person is responsible for developing and conducting regular prospect research and major gift solicitation, including foundations, individuals, and corporations. This position maintains a personal portfolio of donors and prospects for stewardship and solicitation and is expected to meet monthly benchmarks with donor meetings, calls, and other outreach.
Skillsand Experience
The ideal candidate will be curious, a self-starter, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently with excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in MS Office and G-Suite and have database experience. Minimum five years of advancement or related experience. Raiser’s Edge (RE) proficiency is preferred.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to meet fundraising goals primarily from prospective new and lapsed individuals, corporations, and foundations through consistent review and research ensuring all information is recorded in Raisers’ Edge database.
- Build and maintain a prospect development program and process through portfolio management and ongoing analysis to ensure that prospects are being qualified, cultivated, solicited, and stewarded in line with the strategic goals of the advancement team.
- Institutionalize prospect identification process and engagement for all CSF events (pre and post-events).
- Regularly analyze prospect and research data and review with the AD to ensure new prospects are moving through the donor life cycle aligned with advancement goals.
- Prepare cultivation plans for qualified prospective donors (new and lapsed) and provide guidance and direction to the Advancement Director and Executive Director, ensuring information is captured and recorded accurately in Raiser’s Edge.
- Responsible for meeting monthly benchmarks for cultivation and solicitation as set by the AD.
- Manage regular prospect review meetings to ensure new prospects are moving through the donor life cycle using new and existing opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of donors as assigned
- Assist with mail and making deposits and other duties as needed
Full-time, exempt position. The schedule includes some weekends and evening events.
