Communities: Lynn, Lawrence, and Haverhill

About the Center for Law and Education (CLE)

The Center for Law and Education (CLE) is a nonprofit committed to eliminating systemic barriers to high-quality public education. For over five decades, CLE has advanced educational equity through legal advocacy, policy reform, and partnerships with students, families, and communities. CLE’s work centers low-income students, students with disabilities, multilingual learners, and students of color—fighting to ensure they receive the rigorous education and full rights they are entitled to under the law.

About

the All-Aboard Project

The All-Aboard Project is an initiative to address the systemic misuse of the MCAS-Alt (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System–Alternate Assessment), which inappropriately tracks students with disabilities into less rigorous educational pathways. Focusing on the high-need districts of Lynn, Lawrence, and Haverhill, the project combines legal advocacy, community outreach, and policy reform to challenge discriminatory practices and empower families, educators, and advocates to demand change.
