Overview
Soccer Unity Project reimagines the power of soccer to build community, connect people, and promote youth play. We provide over 1,400 Boston youth the opportunity to play soccer at varied levels, and work to cultivate a love of the game regardless of prior experience. Our mandate is to strengthen community through the power of soccer. Our model is unique – our free sports programs intersect populations across socioeconomic divides to bring together youth.
We strive to knock down barriers to every level of play while focusing on the social-emotional and life skill‑building benefits of sport. As a Soccer Unity Project VISTA, you will assist in elevating the profile of the organization, and doing the important work to collect data and evaluations to assess program success, and provide reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
The organization is at a pivotal expansion point, and this role will help to increase our effectiveness, build storytelling around data, and deepen our positive impact on the community. If you are enthusiastic about youth sports, creating opportunities for urban youth, and love working the process of research, data collection and evaluation – this is the year‑long opportunity for you.
