The VISTA will strengthen NOAH’s capacity to sustain housing stability services, volunteer engagement initiatives, and community‑building programs through the development of resource development systems, partnership infrastructure, and fundraising tools. Neighborhood of Affordable Housing (NOAH) is a community development corporation that increases access to affordable housing, promotes housing stability, expands economic opportunity, and strengthens communities throughout East Boston and the surrounding region.

Since 1987, NOAH has worked toward the National Housing Goal of ensuring that every family has access to a decent home and suitable living environment. During the service year, the VISTA will help build the organizational infrastructure needed to sustain and expand NOAH’s affordable housing and community development efforts. This work will include developing donor stewardship systems, grant research and tracking tools, partnership development strategies, fundraising workflows, and communications resources that support long‑term organizational sustainability.

Through these efforts, the VISTA will help create lasting systems and processes that strengthen NOAH’s ability to serve low‑ and moderate‑income residents well beyond the service year.

Member Duties

Member duties will focus on capacity‑building tools that can be utilized in individual/corporate‑giving donor management/stewardship tools that are aimed to increase potential funding awards, as well as Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) donations to NOAH, in‑turn supporting NOAH’s Housing stability, strengthening its community initiatives, and building organizational capacity.

  • Establishing volunteer‑to‑donor engagement strategies
  • Supporting development of communications and storytelling tools that strengthen donor engagement
