Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $22-$24/hour (based on experience)
Duration: Temporary 3+ months with potential for permanent hire

A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking a Temporary Development Assistant to support fundraising operations, donor relations, volunteer initiatives, and special events. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys administrative work while helping advance the mission of a community-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities Development & Administrative Support- Maintain donor records and perform data entry within fundraising and CRM systems
- Process charitable contributions and prepare donor acknowledgements and correspondence
- Reconcile donation records and support departmental administrative functions
- Conduct prospect research to identify potential funding opportunities
- Assist with reporting and tracking donor engagement activities
- Support annual giving initiatives and donor engagement programs
- Coordinate donor communications, inquiries, and follow-up activities
- Assist with donor acknowledgements and stewardship efforts
- Partner with internal teams to support donation drives and seasonal giving campaigns
- Coordinate intake, tracking, storage, and distribution of in-kind donations
- Maintain accurate records and acknowledgements for all in-kind gifts
- Partner with program teams to ensure donations are distributed appropriately
- Support planning and execution of fundraising events and community initiatives
- Manage guest lists, registration materials, and event logistics
- Assist with volunteer and donor engagement activities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- 1-2 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, or related experience preferred
- Experience working with donor databases, CRM systems, or fundraising software required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment
- Professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with donor management systems such as Raiser's Edge, Blackbaud, or similar CRM platforms
- Interest in community-based or mission-driven organizations
Candidates should have prior nonprofit development experience, strong CRM/database management skills (particularly Raiser's Edge or Blackbaud), and a genuine interest in fundraising and donor relations. Local candidates with manageable commutes are strongly preferred.
