Resilient Coasts Intern - Fall 2026 - UNPAID

This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Candidates may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university. EEA's Coastal Zone Management Group is seeking a Fall Intern to join their team! The intern will assist the Office of Coastal Zone Management with the implementation of the Resilient Coasts Initiative.

In this role, the intern will have an opportunity to learn about the Resilient Coasts Initiative and will learn/be part of internal and external stakeholder engagement and collaboration, assist with overseeing resilience policies and projects, and work cross-agency on shared resilience goals. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist with tracking progress on Resilient Coasts recommended actions.
  • Assist in preparing materials for internal and external stakeholder meetings.
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in meetings with communities and consultants on resilience projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong reading comprehension and writing skills. Good verbal communication skills. Interest in coastal resilience/climate change. Experience with stakeholder engagement is a plus.

Hours per week: 15 hours per week. This position is partially remote with a hybrid schedule that includes a minimum of one day in-office per week. Internship duration: 9/21/26 – 12/4/26.
