Semester Fellowship

The Semester in the City program places quarter-time Ameri Corps fellows in capacity-building roles at small to midsize nonprofit organizations in the Boston area of Massachusetts. Fellows will expand efficiency, effectiveness, and/or reach through service activities and a special project focused in a range of priority areas chosen by the nonprofit host site. Social Impact Fellows build their civic and professional skills while making a sustainable impact on the organizations and communities they serve.

Members will be matched with a host site in the Boston area and will complete a special project that meets a real need for their matched host site, complete capacity-building projects and tasks for the host site, and take two courses eligible for college credit that support professional and career skills development. The special project and capacity-building tasks may include direct service, event planning, report and analysis, strategic projects, or other capacity-building efforts.
