Job Details
• Work in a hospital-based Apheresis unit,
• Provide therapeutic plasma exchange, red cell exchange, leukocyte reduction, and stem cell collection,
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with one day off per week,
• Shifts generally run from 6:30am to 5:00pm or 7:00am to 5:30pm,
• 2-3 on-call shifts per month are required,
• EPIC EMR is used,
Job Requirements
• Active MA RN license is required; no conditional licenses accepted,
• Minimum of 1 year apheresis nursing experience required,
• American Heart Association (AHA) certifications required,
• Experience with therapeutic plasma exchange, red cell exchange, leukocyte reduction, and stem cell collection is required,
• 3-6 months prior travel RN experience preferred,
• Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions allowed,
Additional Information
• Perform specialized apheresis procedures within a multidisciplinary team setting,
• Must provide excellent patient care and support throughout complex procedures,
• First time travelers are accepted,
• Public transportation or paid parking is available at the work location,
• Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital to qualify for standard travel rates,
• Timekeeping is managed via UKG/Kronos,
