APP Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

The Amyloidosis Center, Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center is seeking a full‑time advanced practice provider to support its rapidly expanding program. We are an international referral center for patients with amyloidosis and rare protein‑misfolding diseases that affect multiple organs. The provider will work with our cardiologists, hematologists, pulmonologists, nephrologists, neurologists and gastroenterologists to assist with coordination of patient care in a shared multidisciplinary ambulatory clinic.
Responsibilities- Review patient records and reconcile medications
- Conduct patient intake, post‑evaluation follow‑up, and other clinical care tasks
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinical, research, and teaching conferences
- Serve as a faculty member in the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology as appropriate
- Qualified Nurse Practitioners (NP) must: hold a master’s degree in nursing; hold a current Massachusetts registered nurse practitioner license with APRN authorization; be registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization.
- Qualified Physician Assistants (PA‑C) must: hold at least a bachelor’s degree and graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC‑PA or predecessor); be eligible for NCCPA PANCE and for PA licensure in Massachusetts; provide documentation of Massachusetts PA license and initial NCCPA certification upon hire.
- Both NP and PA‑C candidates must hold a Massachusetts Controlled Substance registration, a Federal DEA Controlled Substance registration, current BLS certification, a minimum of three years of current clinical experience, and preferably prior experience in a similar clinical setting or specialty.
Compensation ranges between $128,000 and $178,000. Salary will be based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and departmental budget.
