School Nurse; LPN or RN

The Academy Nurse (LPN) is the sole on-site health professional for a catholic academy serving approximately 400 students from early education through 8th grade. This role focuses on medication administration (including morning medications and insulin support), basic first aid, and routine health assessments for minor injuries and illness. The nurse completes required documentation and data entry, including school nurse application paperwork and compliance-related forms aligned with EDC regulations.

The position includes frequent communication with families to obtain consents, coordinate care needs, and support timely documentation.

• Comfortable and competent with medication administration, including morning meds and insulin support
• Provide basic first aid (e.g., minor head bumps, scrapes) and perform basic assessments/triage
• Strong documentation and paperwork skills (forms, consents, compliance-related records)
• Call/communicate with families for consents, follow-up, and health updates
• Work independently

• Active LPN license
• Experience requirement:
  • Minimum 2 years of LPN experience if the candidate has pediatric or school nursing experience, OR
  • 4–5 years of LPN experience if no pediatric or school nursing background

• Prior experience with SNAP (or similar student health documentation/data-entry system)
• Pediatric, school nursing, or community health background
• Familiarity with school health regulations and compliance documentation (including EDC-related requirements)

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
