Travel RN - Leadership - Nurse Manager

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Lung Transplant Nurse Coordinator position in an outpatient transplant surgery setting, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ICU experience and an active MA RN license.

Job Details

• Outpatient transplant surgery setting within a large academic medical center,

• Post-lung transplant patient population in the discharge and follow-up phases of care,

• Coordinates lab work, diagnostic procedures, clinic visits, consultations, infusions, and hospitalizations for post-transplant recipients,

• Day shift: 08:00-16:30,

• 13-week contract,

• EMR:
Epic (charting experience expected),

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license required - no pending or conditional licenses accepted,

• Minimum 3 years of ICU RN experience required,

• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA),

• 2 professional references required for consideration,

• Active MA RN license must be verifiable through both NURSYS and BON,

• Flu vaccine required - no religious or medical exemptions accepted,

Additional Information

• Serves as the central point of contact for all post-transplant patient care, coordinating with transplant physicians, PCPs, referring providers, and the broader care team,

• Responsibilities span patient care, education, quality assurance, research, administrative tasks, and financial coordination related to transplant care,

• Monitors recipient compliance with medications and medical regimens, reviews lab data and diagnostic results, and communicates findings to the transplant team,

• Navigates insurance authorizations and arranges direct admissions, ED transfers, IV infusions, ECP treatments, bronchoscopies, sleep studies, and thoracenteses as needed,

• Maintains comprehensive documentation in the patient medical record,

• Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos,
