Position Summary
The registered nurse adheres to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. The role is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care. The registered nurse is accountable for nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum.

- Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
- Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
- Registration and current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing required.
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required in some units.
- Basic computer proficiency, ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.
- Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with health care team, patients, and families.
- Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.
- Multilingual skills (beyond English) preferred.
- Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas (e.g., enterostomal therapy, epidemiology, peri‑operative areas).
- Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement research utilization projects.
- Ability to delegate appropriate patient care activities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the patient populations served.
- Physical ability to meet core job responsibilities in accordance with practice setting demands.
- Ability to manage stress due to critical patient care issues, changing organizational climate, and personnel issues.
Compensation Range: $38.05–$75.33 per hour. Total compensation includes medical, dental, vision, pharmacy benefits, contract increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family well‑being.
