Job Details
• Work in the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team at an acute care, Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma, 485-bed children's hospital,
• Patient population spans pediatric through adult, including complex cases such as Heme Onc and ICU,
• Ultrasound-guided IV placement and vein finder equipment used regularly,
• Charting is done in Epic,
• 13-week contract,
• 3x12-hour shifts per week on a day/night rotation,
• Shift start times rotate between 7:00 AM-7:30 PM, 11:00 AM-11:30 PM, and 3:00 PM-3:30 AM,
• Weekend shifts required,
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a rate differential,
Job Requirements
• Active MA RN license required,
• Current BLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• Prior experience on a pediatric vascular access team required (e.g., Heme Onc, ICU),
• Proficiency in ultrasound-guided IV placement required,
• Vein finder experience required,
• Previous travel nursing experience required,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include vascular access procedures across a pediatric-to-adult patient population,
• Solid color scrubs required (any color); scrubs are not provided for this unit,
