Job Summary Join a collaborative and highly skilled perioperative nursing team where you’ll play a key leadership role in coordinating patient care and supporting exceptional surgical outcomes. In this role, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight in the delivery of nursing services, partnering closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care throughout the perioperative experience.
Acting as a central liaison across departments, you will help coordinate and triage patient care needs, support efficient clinical workflows, and contribute to a patient-centered environment focused on quality, safety, and teamwork. Under the direction of the Nursing Director, you will support the ongoing implementation and evaluation of high-quality nursing care for patients and families in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Department Summary
PACU East is a well-established, fast-paced, and highly collaborative unit dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery. Our experienced team cares for a diverse patient population with both medical and surgical needs across multiple perioperative areas.
The department includes two Holding Areas and three PACUs, offering nurses the opportunity to develop a broad skillset while working alongside supportive colleagues in a team-oriented environment. Staff are encouraged to collaborate and float between PACU areas throughout the day to support patient flow, continuity of care, and operational excellence.

Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities Oversee daily department operations, including patient flow, acuity, staffing, throughput, and clinical priorities, while proactively addressing operational concerns and escalations.
Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, serving as a resource for patient care and practice-related questions.
Support the implementation and communication of nursing practice standards, clinical updates, and competency development initiatives.
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, efficient, and patient-centered care progression.
Under the direction of the Nursing Director, support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, scheduling, staffing, payroll, and employee relations processes for nursing and support staff.
Actively participate in departmental quality, safety, and professional practice initiatives, including Faculty Hours and performance improvement efforts.
Provide day-to-day leadership and operational support to staff, including involvement in hiring, coaching, corrective action, performance evaluations, and other employment-related processes as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
License Registered Nurse required., and Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required.
3-5 years related work experience required and 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required
Demonstrated Leadership
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
