Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Massachusetts licensed Nurse Practitioners for a locum tenens opportunity in neurological surgery within a hospital setting. This role supports inpatient neurosurgery patient care, beginning with resident-led rounding and continuing through orders and discharge-focused work. Charting is completed in Epic.

Schedule Details

• 3x 13-hour shifts per week
• Shift hours: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• No nights
• No holidays

Clinical Scope

• Participate in the start-of-day rounding process with neurosurgery residents to align on patient plans
• Review patients and evaluate those who need to be seen
• Place orders based on patient needs and care plans
• Support discharge workflow after rounding and patient review
• Perform inpatient neurosurgery-related patient care tasks, including preferred drain management (e.g., hemovac or jp drains)

Requirements

• NP degree
• Active MA state license
• Board Certification in Neurosurgery required
• Minimum 1 year of neuro experience
• Epic EMR experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience removing hemovac or jp drains
