- Participate in inpatient neurosurgery rounds, reviewing the day’s plan with residents
- Assess and see patients that need to be evaluated, then determine and initiate next steps
- Review and place patient orders as part of inpatient care workflow
- Support ongoing care through order management and patient transitions/discharge planning
- Provide patient care only (APPs do not go into the OR per program structure)
- Collaborate within the inpatient team to ensure timely, accurate documentation and treatment plans
- Support continuity of care using Epic charting/documentation
- BC in Neurosurgery
- MA state license
- 1+ year minimum neuro/neurosurgery experience
- Ability to provide inpatient neurosurgery patient care in a hospital setting
- Comfortable working in Epic (charting/documentation)
- Experience/ability to remove drains (e.g., Hemovac/Jackson-Pratt drains)
This is an inpatient neurosurgery role at a hospital in Boston, MA, supporting adult patients. The APP will join the day’s rounding workflow with residents, then focus on patient evaluations, care coordination, orders, and discharge as needed in a resident-assisted environment.
