- Participate in morning inpatient rounds with residents to review the plan of care
- Review patients and determine which individuals need to be seen
- Manage orders and treatment plans for inpatient neurosurgery patients
- Support discharge planning and finalize necessary documentation/orders
- Provide patient care only (not assigned to the OR; resident program assists in OR procedures)
- Coordinate ongoing inpatient needs and ensure timely follow-through on care plan items
Required
- Board Certification (BC) in Neurosurgery
- MA state license
- At least 1 year of neurosurgery experience
- Ability to provide inpatient, adult patient care in a hospital setting
- Experience/comfort with removing drains (e.g., Hemovac / JP drains)
This is an inpatient neurosurgery Physician Assistant position at a hospital in Boston, MA, supporting adult patient care from rounds through order management and discharge. The team includes a resident program that provides OR support, and the APP role is focused on patient care only. Start 09/07/2026 on a consistent day shift schedule with no nights and no holidays.
