Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (PA) — Boston, MA

- Provide patient care for inpatient neurosurgery patients (adults).
- Start each day with resident rounding to review the plan for assigned patients.
- Review patient needs, determine what requires provider attention, and evaluate accordingly.
- Write and manage orders as part of the inpatient treatment workflow.
- Support the team during plan updates and discharge processes.
- Use Epic for documentation and charting (charting responsibilities as assigned).
- Perform tasks that may include drain management (e.g., hemovac/JP drains) if skilled and needed.
Required
- MA state license
- BC in Neurosurgery
- Minimum 1 year neurosurgery experience
- Ability to support inpatient neurosurgery workflow (rounding, orders, patient management, discharge support)
- Experience/comfort with removing hemovac/JP drains
This role is with a hospital in Boston, MA providing inpatient neurosurgery patient care. You’ll work closely with the neurosurgery resident team on rounds and focus on patient care activities such as reviewing needs, placing and managing orders, and supporting discharge—charting in Epic.
