Position Summary
Registered nurse responsible for professional performance and direct patient care. The role requires nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health-care continuum. The nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes using the nursing department's model of care and in accordance with agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice.
Schedule40 Hours (Days)
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of patient and family care.
- Implement the nursing care model, protocols, and policies for quality and fiscal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with the health-care team, patients, and families.
- Education:
Nursing diploma, ASN, or preferred BSN. Ability to obtain BSN within four years. - Licensure:
Current RN license in Massachusetts in good standing. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for certain units. - Computer skills:
Basic proficiency to access, enter, and interpret computerized data and information. - Language:
Multilingual skills beyond English preferred. - Experience:
Relevant clinical experience and specialty certification for certain practice areas (e.g., enterostomal therapy, peri-operative). Analytical ability for quality improvement and research utilization projects. - Physical ability:
Meet core job responsibilities and practice-setting demands. - Stress management:
Ability to manage stress related to patient care and organizational change.
Compensation range: $38.05‑$79.47 per hour based on qualifications, experience, licensure, and certification.
