Position Summary
Nurse Practitioner will work within the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) to provide care for patients experiencing urgent psychiatric needs as well as maintaining a panel of patients receiving ongoing ambulatory care through the CBHC’s multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include providing crisis evaluations, diagnostic and psychopharmacology evaluations, and pharmacological treatment. The NP is responsible for the application of the nursing process, clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter/intra department liaison, education, leadership and patient care management.
SchedulePart Time, 24‑hour position, includes one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) and three 8‑hour shifts with some flexibility in start/end time.
CompensationRange: $–$ (based on minimum qualifications). Job Requirements- Education: Master’s degree in nursing required. Completion of an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners required.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts, DEA registration for prescribing privileges. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Registered with ANCC or other accrediting organization for NPs.
- Experience: Minimum three years of current clinical nursing experience and two years in adult practice. Prior experience in related clinical practice preferred.

Expert clinical judgment, self‑directive initiative, critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution. Full command (verbal and written) of English. Ability to apply adult learning principles for patient/family education. Organizational skills to prioritize and complete work. Effective interpersonal skills. Computer proficiency to access, enter, and interpret computerized data. Physical ability to meet core job responsibilities.
