Position Summary
The registered nurse adheres to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care. The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum.
Responsibilities- Conduct nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care.
- Maintain clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department.
- Apply established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and standards of practice.
- Collaborate with the health care team, patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement research utilization projects.
Nursing degree:
Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
- Registration and current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing.
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification (some units may require).
- Additional certifications may be required for certain practice areas.
- Basic computer proficiency, ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
- Multilingual skills beyond English preferred.
- Relevant clinical experience or specialty certification for certain practice areas (e.g., enterostomal therapy, peri‑operative areas).
- Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement projects.
- Ability to delegate appropriate patient care activities.
- Physical ability to meet core job responsibilities.
- Stress management ability due to critical patient care issues.
Range: $38.05–$75.33 per hour.
