Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room – BMC‑Brighton, MA. Day shifts with required on‑call duties. Working in a fast‑paced, high‑skill, collaborative OR environment featuring advanced surgical equipment including a hybrid room and Da Vinci Robotics.

• Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data.
• Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies.
• Assist leadership in quality‑improvement projects as needed.

• Education:
  
  Nursing diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Must obtain BSN within 4 years if not already holding one.
• Licensure:
  Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CNA, CNRO, and ACLS preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years in an OR setting; 3 years preferred; must have experience in a circulating role.
• Knowledge &
  
  Skills:
  
  Relevant clinical experience; effective verbal and written communication; physical ability to meet job responsibilities; basic computer proficiency; fluency in an additional language is a plus.

Competitive compensation range ($39.02–$90.05) based on qualifications.
