School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide school-based health services for students in grades 6 through 12. This temporary position is to cover parental leave from August to November.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Cambridge, MA

Duration: Parental Leave Coverage, August
- November

Schedule: Monday
- Friday, half days on Wednesday

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Grades: 6th - 12th

• Provide healthcare services to students, including first aid, emergency care, and management of chronic conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct health assessments and develop care plans for students with medical needs.
• Monitor and manage communicable diseases and other health issues within the school.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records.

• Current and valid RN or LPN license.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and effectively.
