Position
Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location:
Boston Medical Center – Brighton
Schedule:
24 Hours per week, days (call required)
- Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
- Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
- Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data.
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC‑Brighton nursing organization.
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
- Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years.
- Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- CNOR certification (preferred).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
- 2 years of registered nurse experience (required).
- 1 year of operating room experience (required). 2 years preferred.
- Experience in a circulating role.
- Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Fluency in another language a plus.
- Competitive pay. Compensation range: $39.02–$90.05 per hour.
