Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Boston, MA, requiring active MA licensure and a minimum of 2 years of inpatient OR experience with scrub skills.

• Active MA RN license required
• BLS certification required and must be active
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient OR experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Competency in at least 5 of the surgical services offered is required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Experience in neuro, vascular, and services beyond scrub general, GYN, and GU is preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least one must be manager-level or above and include a performance evaluation; one must be within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years
• References from other travelers are not accepted

• Hospital-based OR setting with 17 operating rooms staffed 24/7
• Surgical services include general, GYN, GU, oral, OTO, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine
• 12-hour shifts on a day/evening rotation with start times of 7a on days and 9a or 11a on evenings
• 36 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend required as needed
  
  Every other holiday required
• On-call required once per schedule
• Floating to a secondary OR may be required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be placed at a local rate
• Candidates must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or
  
  B); the test may only be taken twice
• Previous permanent staff of this facility are not eligible to apply as travelers
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and excellent communication skills are expected in this fast-paced, multi-specialty OR environment
