Join One of New England's Leading Cardiac Surgery Programs

At Tufts Medical Center, our Cardiovascular Operating Room nurses support some of the most advanced and complex cardiac procedures in the region. CVOR Registered Nurses are integral members of the surgical team, collaborating closely with nationally recognized surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff within a highly specialized academic medical center environment.

Since 2000, Tufts Medical Center has performed more adult heart transplants than any other hospital in New England, completing 657 transplants during that time. In 2024, the program set a new regional record by performing 70 adult heart transplants, surpassing its previous record of 61 in 2023.

This role focuses on providing professional and nonprofessional nursing care services in accordance with physician orders. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Clinical Nurse duties:
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care needs of a designated group of patients or provides nursing care and identified clinical support tasks within the scope of practice for achievement of the patient's plan of care as directed.
