Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Massachusetts licensed Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens opportunity in neurological surgery at a hospital setting. You will join an inpatient neurosurgery care team to support resident-driven daily rounding, patient evaluation, order entry, and discharge-focused workflows. This role is centered on direct patient care for adult patients using Epic for charting and documentation.

Schedule Details

  3x 13-hour shifts per week

  6:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Clinical Scope

• Participate in the start-of-day workflow with residents to review the care plan for inpatients
• Evaluate and see inpatient patients who need to be seen
• Review patient status and place orders as clinically appropriate
• Support order completion and discharge processes following patient rounding and ongoing care
• Provide patient care within an inpatient neurosurgery setting (non-operative support; OR involvement by APPs is not part of this role)
• Preferred:
  Ability to remove drains such as Hemovac or JP drains

Practice Environment

• Epic EMR for charting and documentation

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree
• Active Massachusetts state license
• Board certification in Neurosurgery (required)
• Minimum 1 year of neurological surgery experience
• Experience with inpatient neurosurgery workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with drain removal (Hemovac and/or JP drains)
