Position Summary
As an RN in the Adult Emergency Department, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care to patients, families, and the community. Your work will support BMC’s mission of providing equitable, evidence‑based care in a level‑one trauma and comprehensive stroke center.

Schedule:
36 Hours, Day/Evening
- Deliver nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
- Communicate effectively with health‑care team members, patients, and families.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
- Update, manage, and interpret patient records and computerized data.
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
- Assist the leadership team with quality‑improvement projects as needed.
- Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- 1+ years of RN experience (preferred).
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for certain units.
- Nursing degree:
Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years. - Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certifications required for certain practice areas.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Fluency in another language is a plus.
- Dedicated trauma orientation.
- Competitive pay. Compensation range: $38.05 – $75.33 per hour, based on qualifications.
