Overview
The registered nurse adheres to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. The nurse is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care, including nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum. The nurse is accountable for clinical, educational, quality and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department and in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and standards of practice.

Position: Registered Nurse
Department: Ambulatory OB/GYN
Schedule: 36 Hours (Days/Evenings/Nights)
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and families.
- Adhere to applicable regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes across the care continuum.
- Nursing degree:
Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years. - Education requirements aligned with department needs and state regulations.
- Registration and current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Some units may require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- PALS
- Additional certifications may be required for certain practice areas.
- Basic computer proficiency, including ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with health care team, patients, and families.
- Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work; multilingual skills preferred.
- Clinical experience and/or specialty certifications as required for certain practice areas (e.g., enterostomal therapy, epidemiology, peri-operative areas).
- Analytical ability to address clinical nursing issues and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to delegate appropriately and manage stress related to patient care and organizational dynamics.
- Must have current (within last 2 years) experience in outpatient/ambulatory OB/GYN settings; telephone triage experience preferred.
- Antenatal testing/NST/fetal monitoring experience and certification required.
- Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Epic documentation experience preferred.
- NST/EFM experience required; fetal monitoring certification required.
Compensation Range: $38.05 - $75.33 per hour. This range is an estimate based on minimum qualifications; base pay depends on education, experience, licensure/certifications, and total compensation may include benefits, retirement, time off, and other programs.
