MGBCI Ambulatory Practices- MGH- RN

The Practice Nurse at Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute provides specialized, coordinated cancer care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for nurses with oncology experience who are looking to work in a dynamic ambulatory care setting.

• Pay: $41.72 - $105.65/Hourly
• Location: Boston, MA
• Facility: Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute
• Department/Unit: The General Hospital Corporation
• Schedule: Part-Time, Day shift

• Communicate with patients via daily telephone triage and Gateway messages.
• Assist in triage of symptom management and medical urgencies/emergencies.
• Monitor patients at home for anticipated chemotherapy/surgery/radiation-associated toxicities.
• Coordinate home services including visiting nursing and palliative care.
• Perform blood draws and routine flushing and maintenance of central lines.
• Document injections and vaccinations per protocol.
• Assist with outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Educate patients and families about their disease and treatment plan.
• Provide assistance with disability forms and pre-authorizations.
• Assess psychosocial needs of patients and families.

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience: Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required
