Position: Registered Nurse, Adult Emergency Department, 36 Hours (Days/ Evenings / Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary

As a Registered Nurse in the Adult Emergency Department, you will play an integral role in delivering quality, patient‑centered care within a level‑one trauma and comprehensive stroke center.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
  • Communicate effectively with health‑care team members, patients, and their families.
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
  • Update and manage patient records and enter and interpret computerized data.
  • Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies.
  • Assist leadership with quality‑improvement projects as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • 1+ year of RN experience preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for certain units.
  • Nursing degree:
    Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred).
  • Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years.
  • Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certifications required for certain practice areas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Fluency in another language is a plus.
