RN Nurse, Obstetrics, Nurse Practitioner
Position Summary
The registered nurse will adhere to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care in the Ambulatory OB/GYN department.
Key responsibilities include nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse license in the State of Massachusetts in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ability to obtain BSN within four (4) years if holding a diploma or ASN.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required for certain units. - Current computer proficiency for accessing, entering, and interpreting electronic health record data;
Epic documentation experience preferred.
- Current experience (within the last two years) in outpatient/ambulatory OB/GYN with telephone triage.
- Experience and certification in antenatal testing, non‑stress testing (NST), fetal monitoring, or electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
- Experience in labor and delivery.
- Experience in critical neonatal and perinatal care is highly desirable.
- Proficient in effective interpersonal communication with the health care team, patients, and families.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and complete tasks efficiently.
- Analytical ability to solve clinical problems and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to delegate patient care activities appropriately.
- English fluency; additional language skills advantageous.
- Physical stamina to meet core job demands and manage stress associated with patient care.
Hourly rate: $38.05–$75.33, based on qualifications and experience.
