Registered Nurse, General Med Surg​/Nights w​/Weekend

Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (36‑hour shift, days/night, every other weekend/holiday)

6 East is a 36‑bed Medical‑Surgical Unit serving a wide range of general medical diagnoses and conditions. The unit is committed to culture competence, professional integrity, and optimal patient care.

• Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and enter/interpret computerized data.
• Follow BMC nursing organization guidelines and policies.
• Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects.

• Licensed RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification;
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required in certain units.
• Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certification required for certain practice areas.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.
