Position SummaryAs an RN in the Maternal Child Health Department, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care to the family unit across Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care, and Inpatient Pediatrics.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
- Communicate with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
- Update and manage patient records and enter/computerize data.
- Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies.
- Assist leadership team with quality improvement projects as needed.
- Licensed registered nurse in Massachusetts.
- Maternal Child Health experience required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain units.
- Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years.
- Relevant clinical experience in maternity, neonatal or pediatric care.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Fluency in another language is a plus.
