The Peri-anesthesia Staff Nurse (RN) supports a combined unit of specialties which include;
Per-op, PACU, Day Surgery, Day Recovery Unit, Recovery and Procedural and Borders ICU. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for:

- Providing care for patients in the Peri-anesthesia area - Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.
** Qualifications**### ### 40 hr Rotating
- Category II
- Every Other Weekend###
** Education
* * Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.

** Licenses and Credentials
** Registered Nurse [RN - MA State License]    
** Experience
* * Current PACU experience required. Relevant ICU experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities

**  - The RN must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.  - Must demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.  - Must be able to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.  - Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
