Registered Nurse, Med Surg-Neuro​/Stroke​/SPU ; Rotating​/Nights w​/e​/o weekend

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg – Neuro/Stroke/Infectious Diseases unit.

As an RN in our Medical Surgical/7 West division, you will deliver care to patients on the Neurology and Stroke teams, supporting the Special Pathogens Unit (SPU). Your role is central to providing evidence‑based, patient‑centered care within a collaborative nursing environment.

• Provide nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and interpret computerized data.
• Follow BMC nursing policies and guidelines.
• Assist leadership in quality‑improvement projects as needed.

• Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for certain units.
• Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred).
• Ability to obtain a BSN within four years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification as required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.
