Registered Nurse Float Pool, Per Diem

Position Overview

Registered Nurse – Float Pool – Per Diem. Provides 24/7 clinical excellence for Med/Surge adult populations on float pool units.

• Deliver nursing care in Med/Surg, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team with quality‑improvement projects as needed.

• Licensed to practice nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required in certain units.
• Nursing degree:
  Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certifications required for certain practice areas.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language a plus.

Compensation range: $39.80 – $93.69 per hour.
