Position Overview

Staff Nurse – Family Medicine Clinic (Part Time). Registered nurse who adheres to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. This role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum.

Responsibilities
  • Professional performance and direct patient care.
  • Complete nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care.
  • Accountable for clinical, educational, quality and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department.
  • Implement agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines and standards of practice.
  • Assist in quality improvement research and utilization projects.
  • Effectively delegate appropriate patient care activities.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with an Associate’s or Baccalaureate degree; BSN preferred.
  • Must enroll in a BSN program within one year if not already earned and complete it by the end of the semester following the four‑year anniversary of employment at BMC.
  • Registration and current RN licensure in MA in good standing.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS may be required for some units.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to access, enter and interpret computerized data.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.
  • Multilingual skills beyond English are preferred.
  • Relevant clinical experience or specialty certification for certain practice areas (e.g., enterostomal therapy, epidemiology, peri‑operative areas).
  • Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement projects.
  • Physical ability to meet core job responsibilities and manage stress in critical situations.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation range: $38.05–$75.33 per hour (estimates based on minimum qualifications). Total compensation includes medical, dental, vision, pharmacy benefits, 403(b) savings match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, earned time cash out, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family wellbeing.
