Mass General Brigham Clinical Trials Office – Satellite Research RN

Five eight‑hour shifts per week (Mon–Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm) with the possibility of one remote day per week after six months. The role supports patient care, research, and quality improvement in the outpatient oncology setting at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Cancer Center and its community satellite locations (Danvers, Waltham, Newton‑Wellesley). Remote support is limited to a single day per week, and the position is onsite for the majority of work hours.

• Screen and enroll patients for clinical trials, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Provide patient education about trial protocols, investigational agents, and study drug adherence.
• Offer triage phone support between treatment visits, managing symptoms and addressing patient concerns.
• Perform protocol‑specific assessments, record adverse events, and document deviations in the medical record.
• Collaborate closely with Infusion RNs, Advanced Practice Providers, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team to assure protocol compliance and optimal patient care.
• Advocate for patients throughout the trial journey, balancing clinical research demands with individualized nursing care.
• Support the Nursing Director, Nurse Managers, and Nursing Practice Specialists in establishing standards of care, quality improvement projects, and exceptional patient care tone.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2years oncology RN experience; preference for candidates with both oncology and research nursing experience.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing (required) or Bachelor’s in Nursing (preferred).
• Proficiency in clinical nursing principles and age‑specific care.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Capability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation systems.
• Experience accurately screening and triaging acute patients.
