Nurse Practitioner, School of Medicine, Diabetes Management, Section of Endocrinology

The Section of Endocrinology at Boston Medical Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition and Weight Management in the Department of Medicine. The Section’s multidisciplinary team includes multiple endocrinology physicians and four nurse practitioners specializing in diabetes care. Our outpatient program includes a highly skilled team of certified diabetes care and education specialists, including registered dietitians, registered nurses, clinical pharmacists and a diabetes technology program coordinator, embedded within the practice to support seamless, longitudinal care for patients.

Our inpatient program includes two integrated diabetes consult services to support the care of patients living with diabetes, admitted as inpatients to Boston Medical Center. The inpatient program includes endocrinologists, endocrinology fellow and internal medicine resident trainees and rotating Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine students.

The NP will collaborate closely with our diabetes care team, in a hybrid role, working in both the inpatient and outpatient diabetes care settings. Responsibilities include a mixture of inpatient consultative and longitudinal care and ambulatory clinic sessions that may include telemedicine sessions, in our specialty diabetes clinic.

Nurse practitioners in our department receive faculty appointments at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, with opportunities to teach and participate in research initiatives.

Required Skills
  • Eligibility for NP licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Experience in the field of endocrinology and specialty diabetes care preferred.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, natural or protective hairstyle, religion, sex, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military service, pregnancy or pregnancy‑related condition, or because of marital, parental, or veteran status. We are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
