The Registered Nurse assumes a leadership role in the Emergency Department. This includes triaging patients to the appropriate level in a timely fashion, providing nursing care to patients of all ages, directing general patient flow through the department, and following up on lab and X‑ray results. The nurse is responsible for timely and accurate documentation of care in accordance with policy and procedures and collaborates with other members of a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assess the health status of individuals and detect changes to take necessary actions.
- Document all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner, including pain assessment, medication administration, and patient ED course.
- Triage patients and assign accurate acuity based on standards of care and department policy.
- Assume responsibility for direct patient care and prepare patients for exams.
- Safely and effectively administer medications, tests, and treatments as ordered.
- Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments per department policy.
- Assist proactively with patient discharge, hospital transfers, and arrange outpatient testing.
- Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians; teach patients and caregivers to manage illnesses, injuries, and home‑care needs.
- Recognize the unique safety needs of elderly and pediatric patients and ensure they receive assistance as needed.
- Follow established departmental policies and procedures for environmental safety and infection control.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing strongly preferred. - Active MA RN license required.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications required.
- Minimum of one year RN critical‑care experience or three years of Med/Surg or Emergency experience.

Starting at $50.00 per hour, and up to $70.00 based on experience.
