Position Summary

Neighbor Health is seeking a Clinical Resource Nurse to support nursing staff through education, competency development, and quality improvement initiatives. In this collaborative role, the Clinical Resource Nurse partners with clinical and operational leadership to promote evidence‑based practice, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance patient care across the department. The position requires approximately 30% active clinical involvement to stay connected to frontline workflows and support patient care as needed.

The Clinical Resource Nurse reports to the RN Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with nursing and operational leadership to support clinical practice, workflow optimization, and team development across the department.
  • Coordinate and deliver orientation, onboarding, and ongoing competency‑based education for nursing staff and medical assistants.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, providing real‑time support, guidance, and feedback to staff in daily operations.
  • Conduct chart reviews, competency assessments, and performance feedback to support staff development and ensure high‑quality patient care.
  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, including audits, incident review, and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA, DPH, NCQA, CLIA) through education, monitoring, and process improvement.
  • Support transitions of care, clinical workflows, and evidence‑based practice implementation within the department.
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and participate in committees related to infection control, performance improvement, and clinical operations.
  • Maintain proficiency in clinical practice and provide direct patient care as needed to support departmental operations.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the clinical environment.

Pay Range

Starting at $44.00 per hour up to $64.00 per hour based on relevant experience.
