Shift Schedule
Schedule Per Diem Day/Evening Rotation. A per diem RN must work 16 shifts every 6 months, 4 of which are weekend shifts. One summer and one winter holiday.
Responsibilities- Plan and provide patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Clinical Practice Manual.
- Demonstrate initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs.
- Effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care, reporting directly to a designated Nursing Director or supervisor.
- Assure practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
Licenses and Credentials- Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required.
Ultrasound guided IV certification preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Adheres to all C.A.R.E. standards.
- Adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. standards for Staff RN, Psychiatry, Ambulatory/Float.
- Demonstrates essential analytical thinking to care for a group of patients.
- Shows observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
- Functions under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Applies hospital standards in areas of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
