Electrophysiology Registered Nurse

The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse is a member of the EP patient care team. The role involves caring for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional EP procedures, providing moderate sedation, monitoring hemodynamics, and coordinating with the interprofessional team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care in the EP lab including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
  • Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and families.
  • Coordinate and delegate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
  • Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data.
  • Follow BMC nursing organization guidelines and policies.
  • Assist leadership in quality‑improvement projects.
Job Requirements
  • Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.
  • BLS and ACLS certification (ACLS required in certain units).
  • Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred); ability to obtain BSN within four years.
  • Two years of RN experience in cardiology procedural areas or critical care.
  • Previous EP experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous moderate sedation experience strongly preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Fluency in another language is a plus.
