Registered Nurse – Surgical Stepdown

Schedule:

36-hour Nights, E/O Weekend, E/O Holiday

Requirements:

• MA Licensed RN
• 2+ years of recent acute care experience
• Surgical stepdown experience at a Level 1 trauma center
• IMCU/Stepdown experience
• Proficient in auto medication dispensing
• Must have more than 1 previous travel assignment
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide intermediate care to post-operative patients transferred from PACU or SICU.
• Monitor and assess patients requiring post-surgical care, including cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, trauma, and transplant patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.

Compliance / Notes:

• Tele test and CC Med test on day 1.
• Previous permanent staff are not eligible to be submitted as travelers.
