Registered Nurse – Surgical Stepdown
Schedule:
36-hour Nights, E/O Weekend, E/O Holiday
Requirements:
- MA Licensed RN
- 2+ years of recent acute care experience
- Surgical stepdown experience at a Level 1 trauma center
- IMCU/Stepdown experience
- Proficient in auto medication dispensing
- Must have more than 1 previous travel assignment
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide intermediate care to post-operative patients transferred from PACU or SICU.
- Monitor and assess patients requiring post-surgical care, including cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, trauma, and transplant patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.
Compliance / Notes:
- Tele test and CC Med test on day 1.
- Previous permanent staff are not eligible to be submitted as travelers.
