Description:
ASAP starts required. Project duration will end by June 1st. Management will conduct interviews, no pre-screening necessary. Housing leads available upon request. Travelers will work 12-hour shifts on weekends in rotation with other staff. Weekday shifts may include 8-hour shifts in rotation. The unit consists of 23 suites with an average of 75 cases per day. Common cases include trauma, ortho, neuro, and cardiac.
Although scrubbing is not required, it is considered a bonus. A Charge Nurse will be present on all shifts. Self-scheduling is allowed within reason, though block scheduling is not guaranteed. Call requirements include 3-4 weekdays per month and 1 weekend shift per month. Call response time is 45 minutes. Floating requirements do not apply. Dress code is hospital-issued attire. All travelers are required to take the same amount of call as permanent staff.
Weekly call assignments will be disclosed in relation to staff rotations. Worker cancellation policies are not applicable. Charting will be done using an electronic medical record system.
