BMC’s Teaching Innovation Unit explores nursing model redesign aimed at directing Registered Nurses (RNs) to work to the top of their license. RN’s selected for this unit will work on innovation teams that pilot, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of new technologies and workflows in an optimal teaching/learning environment.
Position SummaryAs an RN in the Critical Care unit, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a supportive nursing organization.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
- Communicate with various healthcare team members, patients, and their families.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
- Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data/information.
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
- Must have an active or pending Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one.
- 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required in certain units.
- Nursing degree:
Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred); obtain BSN within 4 years. - Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification required for certain practice areas.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Fluency in another language a plus.
- Competitive pay with a range of $38.05 to $75.33 per hour.

$38.05 - $75.33 per hour (estimate based on minimum job qualifications).
